Baby Showed Up!

Meet Micah Robert Janes! 8lb 3oz 21in

He decided to show up on Wednesday morning the 17th. Mom went into labor at 6:05 and he was born at 8:55! It was fast, which is why he had to be in the NICU for three days.... He had what's called wet lung, which happens to baby's when they are born fast.
Micah and Jen are both doing well, still trying to figure out how he works... but they are both healthy!
Both Josiah and Isabelle love him and are adjusting well to having him home.

                                 Saying goodbye to mom and dad as they go off to the hospital!
                       Lot's of taxi rides to and from the hospital... we visited everyday.
                                     Love the traffic here..... jk Oh, and yes that is normal traffic.
         Seeing Micah for the first time! (Josiah has a cold, which is why they are wearing masks.)

                                                                Oh, no he is crying! :)

Psalms 46

Psalms 46

God the Refuge of His People.

For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah, set to Alamoth. A Song.

''God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;

Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.
Selah.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
The holy dwelling places of the Most High.

God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.

The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He raised His voice, the earth melted.

The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold.
Selah.

Come, behold the works of the Lord,
Who has wrought desolations in the earth.

He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He burns the chariots with fire.
“Cease striving and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold.
Selah."

I was reading this Psalms tonight and the whole thing really hit me! God is my refuge and strength, but He is also so Powerful and Holy. Then I was thinking about why it was written... for the Sons of Korah. Then I read Numbers 16.... Here is part of it, but if you read the whole chapter it would make even more sense. ;)

Numbers 16:28-34
 Moses said, “By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these deeds; for this is not my doing. If these men die the death of all men or if they suffer the fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me. But if the Lord brings about an entirely new thing and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that is theirs, and they descend alive into Sheol, then you will understand that these men have spurned the Lord.”

As he finished speaking all these words, the ground that was under them split open; and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men who belonged to Korah with their possessions. So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to Sheol; and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly. All Israel who were around them fled at their outcry, for they said, “The earth may swallow us up!” Fire also came forth from the Lord and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering the incense.
Now go back and read the Psalms again.... It really shows how powerful, holy and loving God is!
Just wanted to share that with you. Hope it was encouraging!
Life has been a bit crazy here... but I'm hoping to get some more post up soon!!!

PE =)

For the last two weeks I've been home mostly with the two kids, teaching school and just hanging out and playing with them. We try and get outside everyday... Mostly in the mornings or evenings when it's cooler.
Here are some pictures of us playing outside and going for walks and bike rides in our neighborhood.

                                                On the back porch "playing" with the drill! :)

                                                                 Time for PE!
               Trying to get a good picture of theses two together.... it's quite the job. ;)
                                        She found her shadow! She was waving at it. ;)

                                      Part of a neighbors wall.... it makes a great background.

                                        I told you.... :) One is smiling and the other isn't. ;)

                                                          Best one of all three of us. ;)
 I'm so Thankful for the opportunity to be here and to get to hangout with these two!

Play Time!

Because it's so hot here in Bangkok and with the bad air... they have a lot of indoor playgrounds.
Iv'e been to two so far... ;) Here are some pictures of both the times. :)
                                                     This is what the first one looked like.

                                                   Ok this ball air thing was really cool!
              You turn on the air (It's on a timer) and it sucks up the balls and then when it turns off.....
                                                             ...All the balls come down!!
                                                                  It's quite exciting! :)

The first one was just us girls that went. The second one was this last week and I hangout with Josiah most of the time. ;) We also met up with a couple moms from church. ;)
                                             He Loves the slides!!!! Ellie... not so much. ;)
